The ferry terminal at Edmonds, Washington is right next to Brackett's Landing, a small waterfront park. It's a marine and bird sanctuary, and home to the Edmonds Underwater Park, which is very popular with scuba divers. This photo was taken in July 2018.
These reddish egrets catch fish by scurrying about in the surf at the beach looking for fish tossed up by the waves. It was so entertaining to watch them, plus they are beautiful birds. I spent nearly an hour watching two of them and took hundreds of shots as they darted to and fro in the surf. This photo with a "rooster tail" from the surf rushing past his legs was one of my favorites. Photo was taken at the Sebastian Inlet state park in Vero Beach, Florida in October 2022.

This past summer our sunflowers were home to several pacific tree frogs. I got several shots of this one fellow as he moved from leaf to leaf as he was very camera shy. This photo was taken in September 2022 in the yard of our Port Angeles home.
