I have started to get into astrophotography since we moved to Port Angeles in September 2021. We are very close to the Olympic national park and Hurricane Ridge. This park is quite dark for night sky shooting. You do get some light pollution from Seattle and Tacoma along the horizon, but it’s not too bad.

Below are the photos I’ve been able to take of the Milky Way. It’s been so long since we’ve been able to see the Milky Way, it’s a nice treat to drive a short distance to a dark place and take these photos. When we lived in Seattle, you could see only the brightest stars and planets at night.
